The stock Honda CRF50 foot pegs were very slippery, especially when wet. They just did not grip the sole of the motocross boot very well.
FOOT PEGS: WHITE BROTHERS ($95)
After looking around at the various foot pegs available for the Honda CRF50 we decided on a nice pair of WHITE BROTHERS pegs (Moose makes similar pegs and the IMS Pro Series pegs ($100) look good too. We got the steel version but they have a TITANIUM ($133) version if you want to save weight or just have the ultimate peg. When we got them in the mail they didn’t come with springs. I called the guys at White Brothers and they were very nice and sent me a pair of springs at no charge.
Installation was pretty straight forward, remove cotter pins and Peg Pins on the old pegs and remove. Install new pegs, springs and peg pin (stock) then install and bend new cotter pin (purchased separately).
These pegs work great. The grip is dramatically improved and Ben felt much more secure riding on the pegs. Like I mentioned this was supposed to be our ONLY mod. But then we realized the shift lever was slippery too! Next.....

TECH TIP: The pegs had a little more play then I liked so I found and installed a couple of washers on the PEG pin between the peg and the peg bracket.
TECH TIP: Many pit bike and mini companies make a billet aluminum peg for the CRF50. I feel like aluminum is too soft for pegs so I prefer steel or titanium like the big bikes use.
