Number Plate Application Kit
TECH TIP: Make Your Own Stickers
I couldn’t get a Honda Oils sticker for the front fender in the size I liked. The one meant for full size Honda bikes was too big. I decided to make my own. Here’s the best way I found to do it: Using an inkjet printer print the logo you want on some good quality photo paper. Cover the logo with a piece of 2 inch wide packing tape. Cut out the logo. Apply some contact cement to the back side and let dry. Clean your plastics and apply. It won’t last forever especially if it gets really wet but they hold up pretty well (make a few so you have a replacement). I used this for the Twin Air logos until I found some real ones in the size I wanted.
Throttle Jockey “Woody” Set
We used the Honda Motocross Lites bikes (2006 season) of Davi Milsaps and Andrew Short as a reference for our graphics.
NUMBER PLATES:
The number plate decals were ordered from Decal Works ($69). They are the only place I could find Honda CRF50 plate decals. I also purchased the removal and application kit. The hardest part of the installation was the right side plate over the exhaust. It takes some patience to work it flat because of the curve of the plate.
HONDA WOODY’S:
The “Woody’s” were ordered from Throttle Jockey a la carte (not the full graphics kit). These are the “real deal” used by Team Honda. I blacked out the “CRF” graphics on the shrouds with a black sharpie.
SPONSOR STICKERS:
I also got the smaller stickers such as the Renthal, D.I.D., Twin Air, and other sponsor stickers by buying a few large sponsor sticker sheets.
The SHOWA stickers were bought separately. The Dunlop stickers on the fork guards and rear fender were special ordered from a place that makes custom stickers in any size.
The graphics really added the final touch to the bike and gave it a real factory look.
